There have been strong rumors that Microsoft may soon bring its personal digital assistant Cortana to its Outlook app for Android and iOS.

The rumors apparently started making rounds when Microsoft’s Outlook for Android and iOS boss Javier Soltero was moved to head team Cortana.
It’s being reported that Microsoft is testing the integration quietly for Microsoft Outlook running on Android and iOS operating systems. In case the results are positive, the feature will be part of a beta program before going public.
The Verge also reports that after Cortana integration, Outlook users on Android and iOS will be able to utilize voice control features like the option to read messages aloud. Users may also ask questions like “what’s my email,” as well as read messages that have been sent by a specific contact in Outlook.
However, it’s quite early to say when it will be launched in beta release since Cortana integration is still under testing. The integration will useful during car journeys. The integration is taking place right within Outlook mobile that will work over Bluetooth and read messages aloud.
