Taking a screenshot on a macOS is the best way to share your ongoing screen with friends, teammates, or anyone else. This way you can show up the other person whatever it is on your screen at a point in time.

The default image format of screenshots taken on macOS is .png. These files are quite heavy. You can change these .png files to .jpg format. This is easy to do. Go to Launchpad > Other > Terminal and type the following code inside the new window:

If asked, enter your password. Now restart the computer to make changes effective. Now your future screenshots will be saved in the preferred format you specified, which means .jpg. In near future, you can always change it back by applying the same method.
