TCS Launches App For UK Polls Analytics


UK is all set for its general elections in May with billions of Twitter friendly voters in waiting to use their franchise. TCS, the Indian IT conglomerate has developed a Smartphone app ElectUK to track, analyze and visualize Twitter conversations about the election.

The ElectUK app has been developed as a tool for big data social media analytics tool. It will help political outfits and parties engaged in the election process to engage voters, their representatives and political commentators. The app is now available for download on iOs and Android devices.

The app will use Twitter data and analyze millions of tweets about political parties, candidates and the electorate in the May 7 UK General Election.

Shankar Narayanan, Country Head, UK & Ireland, TCS said:

“ElectUK has been created to showcase the potential uses of TCSBSE 0.11 % Digital and Big Data technologies going beyond business.”

The app will also have a button that people can use to register for vote.
