Lava Launches Lava X46 Smartphone With VoLTE Support

Ace smartphone maker Lava has launched its new X-series smartphone dubbed the Lava X46. The smartphone has a price tag of Rs 7,999. The company hasn’t announced other details about the launch date and its availability. This latest Lava handset offers support for VoLTE (voice over LTE) with HD voice call compatibility.

It also supports both 4G LTE bands in India – FDD-LTE Band 3 (1800MHz) and TDD-LTE Band 40 (2300MHz) – with an LTE Cat 4 modem that offers download speeds of up to 150Mbps. Both SIM slots of the smartphone are 4G enabled; though, at one time only one SIM can use 4G.

On specifications front, the Lava X46 features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with a pixel density of 294ppi. The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor clubbed with 2GB of RAM. On storage front, X46 packs 8GB of inbuilt storage and supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 32GB).

The Lava X46 flaunts an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone also offers notable connectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB, apart from 4G. The Lava X46 has a 2500mAh battery that reportedly delivers up to 16 hours of talk time.
