YouTube’s product manager Jacquelle Amankonah Horton announced the news and stated about two new features in an official blog post.
The new upgrade will allow users to schedule posts directly from their smartphones. The posts could now be scheduled on the basis of time, date and video type. To recall, as of now YouTube supports private, unlisted and public for scheduling.
With the update, tracking the subscribe count gets further easier. Now video creators can access their subscriber counts via “a prominent subscriber count card right at the top of their YouTube Studio app dashboard. So far, subscriber counts metric had only been available via desktop.
The blog reads that in upcoming months the app will bring new features to YouTube Studio to allow users to create hearts and pin comments directly via the app. She further wrote about improved actionable insights with Analytics insight cards. As name suggests, the feature will give you an insight into how your channels is doing and what’s required to be done to ensure further improvements.
Improved custom thumbnails are the new enhancement in the app. Now onward, channel creators can upload their own thumbnails for YouTube Studio videos from their mobile app.
