Twitter Tests Comment Threads and Status Indicators Features
Twitter is known for adding new innovative features on its platform more often. Now the microblogging social network is spotted testing two new features- comment thread and ability to see when someone is online.
Twitter’s director of product management Sara Haider tweeted a couple of screenshot showing how features will actually look. She wrote that these features will make Twitter more conversational.
“hey Twitter. we’ve been playing with some rough features to make it feel more conversational here. presence and reply threading. still early and iterating on these ideas. thoughts?”
Threaded replies are exactly what you think it could be. This is more intuitive way to follow a conversation, exactly like Facebook’s comment system.
Another feature in making is an ability to see when someone is online. The feature is identical to one that’s already available on Gmail and Instagram. In case Twitter rolls out the feature, users will have an option to opt out if they don’t want to broadcast their online status.
Twitter hasn’t yet confirmed when these features will be available for the rollout. Probably the company is taking feedback from a select group of users before flagging off the features.
