Samsung Galaxy S10 5G Smartphone Set for April 5 Launch

Tech giant Samsung has confirmed that its 5G enabled Galaxy S10 phone will be up for sale on April 5 in South Korea. The phone has been priced at approx $1225 or Rs 85,000.

President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics, said in a statement:

“We are at the beginning of a new era where the incredible speed and connectivity of 5G becomes a reality, bringing the world closer to Samsung’s vision of connected living. We are proud of the work we’ve accomplished to bring our first 5G smartphone to market and look forward to bringing it to everyone around the world in the coming year.”

On specs front, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is quite similar to Galaxy S10+ with a few exceptions like battery and minute variance in display.  The phone features a massive 6.7-inch Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED display with HDR10+. The phone features two cameras sitting in the pill-shaped cut-out on the top right corner.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G PACKS with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 integrated with the Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 5G modem.

To power up the phone, the phone packs with a massive 4,500mAh battery coupled with fast-charging with the bundled 25W fast charger.

The phone Samsung Galaxy S10 5G offers support for wireless and reverse wireless charging. In addition to these features, Galaxy S10 5G also has a 3D ToF sensor.

On camera front, the phone samsung Galaxy S10 5G flaunts a12MP primary camera and a dual aperture f/1.5 and f/2.4. The phone comes packed with a 16MP ultra-wide camera with an aperture of f/2.2. Phone’s third camera is equipped with a telephoto lens with an aperture of f/2.4 along with OIS and PDAF.

For selfies, the phone offers a primary 10MP shooter with an aperture of f/1.9 and dual pixel AF. Alongside, the phone contains secondary 8MP shooter for clicking pictures in detail.
