Xiaomi Redmi 4 Is Rumored To Have Snapdragon 625 Chipset: GeekBench
Amidst buyers’ long queues at online stores for buying Redmi 3S, Redmi 3 Pro and Redmi 3X, Xiaomi has quietly made its way to unveil Redmi 3’s successor. The device will probably be named Xiaomi Redmi 4.
The device was spotted at benchmarking website GeekBench with some of its specs. Earlier it was rumored to have Helio X20 chip, but the GeekBench listing suggests the device with a Snapdragon 625 chip.
Snapdragon 625 comprises an octa-core Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 2GHz and a new Adreno 506 GPU. While the CPU A53 cores are of the same generation, the much higher CPU clock will be a highlight. The LTE Cat.7 connectivity is also an upgrade over the Cat.4.
The Redmi 4 is expected to have 3GB RAM and running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The device could be launched by the year end at a n approx price tag of $150.
