Xiaomi Opens Own E-commerce Store In India. Gets An Indian Registration : Indian Xiaomi Technology India Pvt. Ltd

It seems Xiaomi’s dreams are getting bigger with the overwhelming response their smartphones Redmi1s and MI3 received in India.  Now, the company is mulling to open its own e-commerce store in India. News published in Mint reported that Xiaomi is in talks with partners in India and if tie up talks cooked well, we will see a full-fledged Xiaomi online retail store by January, 2015.

Currently Xiaomi sells its smartphones and accessories in flash sale mode via Flipkart. Launching of its own online store won’t hurt Xiaomi’s venture with Flipkart as later will continue selling company’s smartphones in usual manner. The Chinese smartphone maker has already started setting up the platform. The company has hired a team of 10 people to handle the operations of the website and 40-odd call centre professionals to tender round the clock professional and technical support to the buyers.

Manu Jain, Xiaomi’s operation head to India said:
“It would be very difficult to say. It could happen anytime between the next four to six months.”


Manu Jain, the co-founder of ‘Jabong’, is the key person appointed by Xiaomi to handle the Indian operations. Xiaomi has already got the registration for Indian operations. In India it will be called: ‘Indian Xiaomi Technology India Pvt. Ltd’ .
