Xiaomi Mi Pad Launched In India At 12,999; Hitting The Stores On March 24


Xiaomi, the China based Smartphone maker has announced two high end devices today for its customers in India. They are Redmi 2s and Mi Pad. Redmi 1S is the advanced version of Xiaomi’s most successful Redmi1S Smartphone and Mi Pad is Xiaomi’s new tablet device. Mi Pad is priced at 12,999 and available to Indian consumers from March, 24 without registration.

On spec front, Mi Pad is fully loaded. The device has a 7.9-inch IPS display with 2048×1536 pixels resolution, 326 PPI. The tablet is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor and 2GB of RAM. This high end device is available to the users with 16GB flash and can be expanded up to 128GB using MicroSD expandable storage. The tablet has an 8MP rear camera.

With the launch, Xiaomi has made to the Indian tablet market, currently dominated by the big brands like iBall, Samsung and DataWind. Xiaomi has already set high standards and expectations for budget Smartphone market with its flagship devices Mi3 and Redmi 1S. Once, the first ever tablet from Xiaomi goes to the stores, we’ll see how it performs in the segment.
