Xiaomi Mi Note 2 May Come In 4GB/6GB RAM Variants

It seems leaking images and specs of upcoming devices have become a trend now. In the latest leak, some specs and images of upcoming Xiaomi phablet device Xiaomi Mi Note 2 have surfaced on the Chinese social network Weibo.

The images are reportedly taken from a Xiaomi presentation showing specifications and pricing of this latest device. The slide suggests that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will feature a LG 5.7 inch 2K Super AMOLED display with 3D touch. In addition, another image from the same slide shows the dual-curved edge screen on the front of the phone.

There are speculations making rounds that the company could launch two variants of the smartphone. One variant may sport 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage while the other will have 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. Both these variants will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC mated to an Areno 530 GPU on board.

On camera front, the Mi Note 2 may flaunt a dual camera setup with sensors from Sony. First one is a 23MP IMX318 and other one is 12MP IMX378. For selfie lovers an 8MP front camera is placed on the phone. Mi Note 2 might have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under glass, similar to the Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus.

The phablet device will also have long lasting 4100 mAh battery with Qualcomm quick charge 3.0 and a USB C type port.

If what slides are showing is true to an extent, we may expect that the Mi Note 2 with 4GB RAM variant will be priced at CNY 2799, while the 6GB RAM variant will cost CNY 2999. They are respectively Rs. 27,697 and Rs. 29,676 in Indian currency.
