Xiaomi Redmi 7 is Set For December 24 Launch with a Waterdrop Notch

Chinese smartphone maker is reportedly launching its next mega flagship Xiaomi Play. The device is said to be the Xiaomi’s first smartphone with a waterdrop notch.

Slated for 24 December Launch, the company has unearthed several teasers suggesting key specifications about the device.

Alongside the waterdrop display, the phone also features a dual camera set up at the back, a fingerprint sensor under it and single front camera housed in the notch.

The phone was listed on TENAA on 18 December with the name the Redmi 7.

Xiaomi Redmi 7: Display

TENAA listings show that the device Redmi 7 will sport a 5.84-inch LCD multi-touch display with 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. Going further on specifications, the phone is powered by a 2.3 GHz octa-core processor sporting SoC.

Xiaomi Redmi 7: Memory

The phone comes packed with 3 GB RAM with 32 GB storage, 4 GB RAM with 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM with 128 GB storage. Phone’s native storage could be expanded up to 256 GB on the device using SD Card.

Xiaomi Redmi 7: Camera

For photography lovers, the phone Xiaomi 7 flaunts a dual camera set up at the back with a 12 MP primary rear camera along with a secondary rear lens. For selfies, the phone has an 8 MP sensor with LED Flash.

Xiaomi Redmi 7: OS and Connectivity

The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS with MIUI on top and houses a durable 2,900 mAh battery. For connectivity, the phone is packed with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth and GPS.

If we go by the listing, the device weighs 150 grams with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor and may come in Black, Dream Blue, and Dawn Gold colors.
