Smartphone major Vivo is all set to launch its S Series handset range in India. This is company’s next significant move after launching Vivo Z1 Pro in India for Rs 14,999.

If reports are to be believed, the company is heading to announce a new S series smartphones for Indian buyers. The first phone of the series the Vivo S1 is likely to come to India next month. Though, we can’t confirm the date.

While announcing the phone launch, Nipun Marya, Director Brand Strategy, Vivo India says,

“We at vivo have always kept the consumer at the center for all our decisions. Our association with sports activities or Bollywood superstars resonate with our commitment of being- trustworthy, committed to India and innovative. When we were first designing the S1, the first device from the all new S series, we were clear that we wanted to make a device that was both a style benchmark and packed in powerful features. And Sara was the perfect reflection of these aspects.”

All that we know about the Vivo S1 is that it may pack an octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 processor and is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

In addition, the phone may also feature a 6.38-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display that offer 1080×2340 pixels resolution. The smartphone includes a waterdrop notch that fits the selfie camera.

For photography, the phone features a triple rear camera setup and a single sensor on the front.

Phone’s triple camera setup includes a primary 16-megapixel primary sensor with an /f1.78 lens, secondary 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, phone’s front the smartphone includes a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 lens.

The handset Vivo S1 runs Android Pie with Funtouch OS 9 on top. The smartphone has an in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock feature and amassive 4500mAh battery on board.

As per as pricing is concerned the Vivo S1 may have a price tag between Rs 17,000 to Rs 20,000.
