Twitter’s While You Were Away Feature Up For iOs, Android Will Get It Soon

Earlier this month Twitter started testing ‘While You Were Away’ feature for its mobile users. The feature gives a quick recap of tweets to the users who were missed Twitter for a while. It will tell about the most popular tends and chatter happened on Twitter when you didn’t log on there for quite some time.

In the beginning, the feature was tested on a group of selected users. But now, Twitter is rolling out the feature for all the users who use Twitter via its mobile app. The feature called ‘recap’ is now up for iOS users and soon will be available for the Android users.

In its announcement blog, the company said the following:

“help you keep up […] with your world no matter how much time you spend on Twitter.”

However, a user won’t have control over the duration and frequency of the recap. A user can’t specify what kind of tweets he wants to see when he logs –in after long time. If you’re frequent to twitter, recaps will appear less and appear more if you visit it less frequently.
