Twitter To Show Up Promoted Accounts In Search Results

Micro-blogging legend Twitter announced that now ‘promoted accounts’ would be visible in its search results. Promoted accounts are those accounts that businesses pay to advertise to users. It also includes a Promoted Tweet or a Promoted Trend. After promoted tweets, showing up promoted account in search would be another major change that Twitter now adapts. Experts believe that the change would help Twitter to monetize user searches. After Twitter’s maiden IPO each view has become more valuable for the company.

Officials from Twitter said that an algorithm has already been placed that would automatically select relevant search queries in order to present Promoted Accounts based on an advertiser’s targeting choices. There would no additional action be required for a business to access this capability.
