Twitter Features Real-Time Web Notifications. Feel The Engagement

Twitter rolled out real time notifications for twitter’s web version. The feature will help users to get pop-up messages whenever someone is engaging with their tweets. If you are logged in on Twitter, pop-ups will appear in your browser if someone replies your tweet, retweets or makes your tweet ‘favorite’.

The best part is that you can directly reply favorite, follow and retweet other users from the notification itself. You needn’t to leave the screen to do so. You may also change the parameters of the feature in ‘Setting’ if too many alerts and notifications are creating nuisance. By visiting setting you can choose which notification you want to entertain on the Web, email, and mobile. For an instance, you can set alerts for receiving an alert when you’re mentioned in a tweet, but not when your tweet (s) is marked favorite.

If you are using a Twitter app, you can specify from the setting menu which push notification you want to receive. The feature is slowly rolling out. If you don’t see it, wait for a few days as it’s coming to all the users within a week.
