Twitter Bans Cryptocurreny and ICO Ads from Its Platform
Following the footsteps of Facebook and Google, now Twitter is banning crypto currency and ICO ads from being displayed on its network.
Twitter Bans Cryptocurreny Ads
Back in January, Facebook banned crypto currency ads such as Bitcoin in an attempt to combat deceptive advertising practices, followed by Google that banned the ads last week.
A report published in Engadget reports that the new advertising policies will bring complete ban on ads for ICOs, token sales, and Cryptocurreny wallets. Twitter might also ban ads for Cryptocurreny exchanges with some exceptions in place.
This isn’t the first time Twitter has taken to stop deceptive cryptocurrency ads. Twitter says that the company will start taking down accounts that ask for small amounts of a cryptocurrency while impersonating celebrities.
