Snapdeal Acquires Mobile Commerce Platform MartMobi

Snapdeal is now seriously looking to strengthen and improve its mobile platform for merchants. The company has acquired a Hyderabad Hyderabad-based technology startup MartMobi, a platform that helps businesses to quickly have an instant mobile presence. The amount paid for the deal is still unclear.

Mobile Commerce Platform MartMobi  was founded in December 2012 by entrepreneurs Satya Krishna Ganni (CEO) and Pramod Nair (CTO). These two had earlier co-founded LearnSocial, a P2P learning platform that enable people learning together.

With the series of acquisition including this, Snapdeal is all set to go head on with e-commerce majors Flipkart and Amazon. Indian e-commerce market is a $3 billion hotcake and every e-retailer is trying hard to tap its potential and generate more revenue.
