Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 Set for Launch at the Month End

South Korean technology company Samsung has officially launched its new tablet device Galaxy Tab Active 2 today. The upcoming device is slated for launch with an IP certification rating of IP68. That means the tablet can be submerged in up to nearly 5-feet of water for up to 30-minutes and escape unscathed. Its display will even work with wet fingers.

On specs front, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 highlights an 8-inch display carrying an 800 x 1280 resolution (WXGA). Powered by Exynos 7870 chipset, the device features an octa-core CPU and the Mali-T830 GPU.

The phone is expected to have 3GB of RAM under the hood along with 16GB of expandable storage. Device’s memory can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD slot. For photography, the tablet device has an 8MP camera at rear and a 5MP snapper in front. The phone houses a massive removable 4,450mAh battery.

The device Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 runs Android Nougat backed with Knox 2.8 out of the box. Other key highlights of the device include a face recognition system, fingerprint scanner and a mighty S Pen. The company is yet to reveal its price. Stay tuned for more on this.
