Samsung Galaxy M40 Launched with Snapdragon 675
South Korean tech magnet Samsung is gearing up for expanding its budget segment with one more entrant Samsung Galaxy M40. The phone will complement its popular M series phone lineup that includes existing M10 and M20 handsets.
Samsung Galaxy M40: Specs and Features
Samsungs seems to be cashing up of the overwhelming response M10 and M20 received. With Samsung Galaxy 40 the company some of the high end features including a punch-hole design to its mid-range phone segment.
The handset sports a plastic body and packs a punch-hole display design. Samsung Galaxy M40 features 6.3-inch TFT LCD display with a Full-HD+ (2340 x 1080p) resolution. With this brand new entrant, Samsung simply ditched its existing Exynos chipset.
Instead, the Samsung Galaxy M40 bestowed trust upon more popular and powerful Snapdragon 675 chipset. The latest chipset used in the phone is coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of storage. The native storage of the phone is expandable up to 512GB.
You can see some impressive optics with Samsung Galaxy M40. The phone flaunts a 32MP (f/1.7) primary lens, along with an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide angle lens, and a 5MP (f/2.2) depth sensor in the vertical module on the rear.
Phone’s punch-hole in the display places a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie camera for clicking excellent selfie photos.
There are two interesting changes you can notice with the phone if you already have used any of the M series phones. Instead, the phone leverages its screencasting technology, where the screen vibrates to transmit sound when a call is received. Similarly, USB Type-C earphones in the box compliment the vacuum that lack of 3.5mm headphone jack creates.
The phone houses a massive 3,500mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support. This is bit disappointing since Samsung Galaxy M20 was launched with 5000 mAh battery.
Price and Availability
The phone will be coming in 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant with a price tag of Rs 19,990. The Galaxy M40 goes on sale starting from 18th June and sold via Amazon and Samsung Shop.
