Twitter Might Ask You To Pay $1 For Getting Your Account Verified
If you feel tempted to see a blue tick mark next to the Twitter handle of your favorite celebrity and brand, it’s your turn to get the opportunity. Twitter is reportedly mulling on paid verification for the Twitter accounts. The price could be $1 for a year. Once the price will be paid, the user will see a blue checkmark appear on their account.
Pay twitter for verified twitter account
Twitter account verification is nothing new, though, limited for selected users. Verified accounts are currently available to those public figures and brands who might have prank accounts in their name. Twitter verified accounts are currently offered in certain key areas of accomplishments, such as music, acting, fashion, journalism and politics. President Barack Obama, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper and Scandal actress Kerry Washington are some among those who have their verified Twitter accounts.

Twitter has already explained in its service terms that verified accounts are currently used to establish the authenticity of high-profile public figures and brands. Currently, the company has stopped taking verified account requests from users. If Twitter goes ahead with the idea, it will be a big boost to its revenue stream. This is another significant revenue push after Twitter’s deal with Google, Yahoo and Flip board.
