Oppo A79 Launched in China with 6-Inch FHD Display and 16 MP Cameras

Chinese handset maker Oppo has launched its new mid range flagship in China. The phone is expected to have a price tag of CNY 2,399 that translates around Rs 24,000.

GSMArena says that the phone copies design of Oppo R11 and features a 6-inch FHD+ (2180×1080) AMOLED display in ‘18:9 aspect ratio and an 86 percent screen-to-body ratio’.

On specs front further, the device comes packed with a MediaTek Helio P23 chip running at up to 2.5 GHz on 8x ARM Cortex A53 cores and backed by a Mali-G71 GPU. The phone offers 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of native expandable storage.

On camera front, Oppo A79 boasts of a 16 MP f/1.8 unit on the rear and a 16 MP f/2.0 camera for selfies. Besides, the device has a fingerprint scanner mounted on the rear and aligned to the centre column.

This Android Nougat 7.1.1 dual sim device houses a 3,000 mAh unit with support for Oppo’s VOOC fast charging standard. On connectivity front the phone offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, micro USB 2.0 with support for OTG accessories and Bluetooth 4.2.

Currently, the Oppo A79 has been launched exclusively to Chinese market in Blue, Black and Gold colour variants.
