Kyocera To Launch Its Second Washable Phone
Kyocera is up to launch another washable smartphone. The phone, named Rafre is the second in the list of soap-proof smartphones, washable handsets by Kyocera. The company had launched the first DIGNO Rafre washable smartphone back in December 2015. Both the smartphones are said to be equipped with mid-range specs and configurations.
Kyocera claims Rafre a device that is washable with foaming soap and can be used even when it’s wet (touchscreen included). The phone is reportedly resistant to hot water. The phone comes pre-loaded with a cooking app. You can operate app with hand gestures, so you can cook without touching the display.
On specs front, Kyocera features a 5-inch display that supports HD (720p) resolution, and packs 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory (expandable up to 200GB via microSD card).
The phone has a 13-megapixel camera on board with Kyocera’s proprietary image-processing AINOS Engine, and PDAF (phase detection autofocus). A secondary 5-megapixel with selfie shooter has been given for selfies. The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery.
