Soon, iPhones Will Come Without Home Button: That’s Weird

There is big news coming for iPhone lovers. If reports are to be believed, Apple is all set to ditch its iPhone Home button from 2017. I personally feel that killing the home button is a weird idea. Notably, the phones bought before that period will have the home button intact as usual.

This is probably a big change that Apple is mulling. Home button was first introduced with iPhones in 2007.

Images that are appearing in a tech tabloid show an iPhone without the 3.5mm circular headphone jack or round home button. The front of the phone will reportedly have an uninterrupted surface.  The home buttons have been very significant for the devices as they all sport Touch ID fingerprint scanners for both unlocking the handset and verifying purchases made through Apple Pay.

The iPhone 7’s may therefore bring some form of biometric fingerprint recognition technology in lieu of the physical button. This isn’t the first time when we came across this rumor; it’s been floating around a while.
