Apple has rolled out its latest iOS 12.1.1 update for iPhone and iPad devices. The update brings slew of improvements with the way we use Apple FaceTime.
iOS 12.1.1 Update : What’s New?
Now it’s easier than ever to switch from the back camera to the front camera. With the update, now you can see a new button added to the main screen that once again flips the camera with a single tap.
Before iOS 12.1.1, users would have to go through hidden menu, tap on the camera switch icon, and close the menu. In iOS11.1, users were able to flip the camera on FaceTime required a single tap.
Moreover, the iOS 12.1.1 update also brings more carrier support for the eSIM inside the 2018 Apple devices. With the update, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR get dual SIM capabilities. Now users can also capture a Live Photo during a one-to-one FaceTime video chat, and may receive notification previews with haptic touch on the iPhone XR.
The update brings an improvement to Apple news app on iPad as well. Readers have given the option to remove the sidebar while reading the news. To check if the update is ready for your iOs device go to Settings > General > Software update.
