Infosys Acquires Panaya, An ERP Company, In 1200 Crore

For India Inc, this is the time of some notable acquisitions. Infosys, the Indian tech giant is buying Panaya, a New Jersey based Enterprise Resource Planning Company for whopping Rs.12445.98 million.

With this acquisition, Infosys is eyeing at key IT growth parameters including innovation, automation and artificial intelligence. The company thinks that these factors would be the driving force for the IT growth of up to 13-15 per cent predicted in the fiscal 2014-15.

Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka said:

“The acquisition of Panaya is a key step in renewing and differentiating our service lines.”

Sikka believes that the acquisition will help Infosys people amplify their potential. Now they escape the annoyance of completing repetitive tasks and may focus mainly on the strategic challenges that clients usually face.

Sikka further added:

Panaya is a renowned provider of cloud-based management services for enterprise applications. The company has some of the top-notch organizations in its client list. The list includes Unilever, Whirlpool, Renault, Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz in their client list.
