Huawei VR Glass and Huawei Band 4 Launched in China

Tech giant Huawei has just unveiled its Huawei Band 4 and Huawei VR glass device in China. The launch is in line with company’s latest Mate X foldable phone launch in its 5G conference in Shenzhen China.

Notably, VR Glass is company’s latest gadget on 5G while Band 4 is said to be an upgrade version of Huawei’s older fitness trackers.  Let’s have a quick look into both the devices and their specifications.

The device is the 4th gen variant of Huawei’s fitness band portfolio. The Huawei Band 4 borrows the design from its predecessors along with a 0.96-inch TFT color display, 80×160 pixels resolution and 2.5D curved glass protection.

Huawei Band 4 is a Apollo 3 chipset powered device paired with a slew of advanced sensors including three-axis accelerometer, infrared sensor, and an optical heart rate sensor. It’s heart rate sensor allows you to monitor the four phases of your heart rate and track sleep, sleep quality.

The band packs standard fitness tracking features such as as running, cycling, free training and more. You can connect the device with your smartphone. When connected, the band sends notifications for messages. It makes possible for you to use ‘Find My Device’ and Remote Shutter features on your brand.

To help in charging, Huawei Band 4 has an integrated USB Type-C charger. To charge the device, pull out the strap on one end and plug the band into a charging port. The band houses a 91mAh battery that reportedly lasts up to 9 days on a single charge.

In Chinese marketplace, Huawei Band 4 has been priced at 199 yuan (around Rs. 2000). The device is going on sale on November 1in Sakura Pink, Amber Sunrise, and Graphite Black color variants.

Another device apart from the fitness band that company launched is its first ever VR Glass headset. The VR glass is priced at 2999 yuan (around Rs. 30,000) and will go on sale from December later this year.

On specs front, Huawei VR Glass has a lens barrel thickness of 26.6mm and weighs around 166 grams. The USP of the device is the comfort and ease it ensures. The VR device has a delightful foldable design and a sunshade mask.

This VR headset is designed to offer 3200×1600 pixels screen resolution with up to 1058PPI (pixels-per-inch) pixel density. The device provides 90-degree field-of-view and 55mm to 71mm distance addictiveness.
