Huawei To Launch Android Smartwatch In India On Monday
Chinese tech magnet Huawei may launch a smartwatch in India on Monday. The company will be hosting a press conference soon to announce the news. This is probably the first occasion when the company will launch a product under the Huawei branding and not the Honor sub-brand, which the company usually uses to sell products via online mode.
Though, the details of the product are not yet out, this is confirmed that the company is set to launch an Android wear based smartwatch called the Huawei Watch. The product could be launched on coming Monday. Besides the smartwatch, the company is set to launch a fitness tracker called the TalkBand 2, which can also make calls.
On the specs front, the smartwatch may sport a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.4GHz. The wearable also has 512MB of RAM coupled with 4GB ROM. It has a 300mAh battery. The Huawei watch will have a circular display dial and it comes with stainless steel watch bands like premium wristwatches.
The watch is available in models with classic leather watch buckles. The models carrying leather bands start at $349 in the US, while the one with the steel band starts at $399. The device will work on Android OS and will also offer limited support to for iOS as well.
