Hike Crosses 100 Million Users, Transacts 40 Billion Messages Per Month

Makers of Hike messenger have come up with latest data on its user base and how they interact with this popular messenger app. As per the latest statistics, Hike has crossed 100 million user mark. In October 2015, the total number of users who used the app was approx 70 million.

In its official blog post, the company said that on a monthly basis over 40 billion messages are exchanged. The report asserts that users are spending approx. 2 hours a week on Hike.

Kavin Bharti Mittal, CEO & Founder, Hike Messenger,said,

“We’re off to a great start in 2016. Crossing 100 million users is a big milestone for us and we have achieved this well ahead of our expectations. Hikers aren’t only messaging and calling on Hike, they’re also reading News on Hike in Hindi and English, viewing live Cricket scores, getting inspired on Hike Daily, transferring huge files without internet on Hike Direct and so on. Hike has emerged as a true platform over the last year and in 2016 we’re going to double down.”

The post continues by saying that 11.2 news stories are being viewed on the messenger per user per day. Hike’s file transfer feature ‘Direct’ was introduced in October 2015 and since then 10 million files have been transferred till date without the internet. That total data transacted so far through Hike Direct amounts to 200 Terabytes in total.
