Google Tests Book An Appointment Feature Right From Search Results

Google is testing a ‘Book an Appointment’ feature that will enable users to book an appointment with a local service provider right from the search results. The search engine is testing this feature on Intuit’s smart business marketing platform Demandforce.

In the screenshot attached, a Google search result is appeared for a service provider with an option ‘Book an appointment’ in the knowledge panel. Once the user chooses the type of appointment he seeks, an option ‘Continue booking’ opens up.

Clicking the option navigates users to the service provider’s landing page. Once the form is submitted after filling up required details, the information passes into Demandforce with Google listed as the referrer.
