Google Paid 1 Billion Dollar To Apple For Making Google iOs’s Default Search
In a report published in Bloomberg, it has been said that Google paid Apple $1 billion for making Google default search for Apple in 2014. The transcripts of the report were popped up from a court proceeding where Oracle copyright lawsuit against Google was underway.
Bloomberg referred Oracle attorney who said that at one point in time the revenue share was 34 percent. Bloomberg added that it wasn’t clear from the transcripts whether that percentage is the amount of revenue kept by Google or paid to Apple. More on this is yet to come.
