Google Marks George Boole Anniversary With A Google Doodle
Today, Google is celebrating 200th anniversary of American Mathematician and philosopher George Boole by dedicating a Google doodle in commemoration. Boole wrote the book ‘The Laws of Thought’ that comprised several mathematical logic, and popularly known as Boolean algebra. The idea of Boolean algebra created the foundation of modern day digital electronics and computational mathematics.
Boolean algebra computes and calculates with the truth values- true and false and also denoted by numerals1 and 0. Boolean algebra was introduced by George Boolean in his book “The Mathematical Analysis of Logic” in 1847. The became the foundation for digital electronics, and all modern programming languages support it.
