Google Duo Picking Pace With 10 Million Downloads On Android
Google’s video messaging app Google Duo has touched 10 million downloads in Google Play app store. To recall, Google launched the app in past August, but was available to select users in few countries. Later on, the company rolled out the app globally.
Amit Fulay, Google’s product lead for communication, confirmed the news on Twitter. Just a day after its global rollout, the app became a huge hit on Android Play store and Apple’s app store.
Though, the app received massive downloads on app stores, its app store rankings slipped badly. Android Police reports that Google Duo app rankings tanked over hundred places from its earlier position. The app ranks at 124th position in the US, whereas, in India, it is ranking on 24th position in the list of free charts.
Ever since the app got released, it received great reviews for being very user-friendly and easy to use video messaging app. This could be the reason behind the overwhelming response the app got on respective play stores.
The app is currently rated 4.5 stars on Android Play store and 3.5 stars rating on the iOs.
