It’s almost a fortnight when Google launched its most discussed project AMP aka Accelerated Mobile Pages. When initially AMP was rolled out, Google Accelerated Mobile Pages articles had a green lightning bolt icon on them. But now Google has changed the color to gray. Here is how the new icon will look like:
It’s quite unclear why Google changed the icon color. Probably, bright green color was bit distracting and got audience distracted from the rest of the AMP results. I’m sure Google will test more colors for AMP icon in near future as the company has been frequent to make design changes to its properties.
