Facebook Testing a LinkedIn Like Resume Feature
Looks like Facebook is taking professional network LinkedIn head on. In the latest, the social network spotted testing a Resume feature that allows users to share their professional credentials with friends and groups.
A student from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth shared screenshots of the feature with The Next Web. When asked, Facebook confirmed the news.
A spokesperson from the Facebook said:
“At Facebook, we’re always building and testing new products and services. We’re currently testing a work histories feature to continue to help people find and businesses hire for jobs on Facebook.”
Facebook’s résumé feature enables users to share their work experience with friends. The feature is in addition to the social network’s current work and education section. The information added will be private to the user, unless shared.
