In case you have been in conversation with one of your pals for three consecutive days in a row, Facebook will remind you on fifth day if you would like to continue that. Well, this is what Facebook messenger’s latest feature is going to do.

The feature, said to be Snapchat’s streak clone, is being tested by Facebook for its popular messenger app. The feature will let users have a continuous conversation with their contacts. The only difference between Facebook’s feature and Snapchat’s streak is that Snapchat users uses snaps or pictures to continue the conversation, while on Facebook Messenger, text messages will be used to continue the chat.

You can obviously guess that both the features aligned to get one motive accomplished- enhance engagement with their contacts. The feature is in testing with select group of users and the company hasn’t made any words when it will be rolled out.

A Twitter user spotted that Facebook Copying Snapchat’s Streak Feature. As per him, a lightning bolt icon will be shown next to the name of a contact you have been in contact for at least two days in a row.  You can also get to know the number of days you and your contact have been in contact on Messenger.

Facebook hasn’t made any official confirmation on this. Though, a Facebook spokesperson told Mashable that the Streak feature is currently in the testing stage. He added that the upcoming feature will be visible to a user if he or she is in constant communication with a friend at least three days in a row.
