Ebay India Lays Off 100 People From Its Bangalore Office
Ebay, the ace e-retailer is about to trim down its workforce from company’s Bangalore office. Reports have been surfacing that Ebay India has laid off around 100 people from its office at Bangalore. A spokesperson of the company has also confirmed the news.
“We are reducing our overall technology workforce in Bangalore and shifting work to other global centres around the world,” an eBay spokesperson told Gadgets 360 via an emailed statement. “eBay’s Bangalore Centre will now focus on eBay India-dedicated product and development work.”
The layoffs, as reported are the major part of Ebay’s plan to reorganize its product and tech teams.
However, company hasn’t reveled much about the number of employees impacted. But sources said that 30 percent of the its workforce has been given a pink slip that translates to 100 employees at least.
