Delhi Tops In Online Shopping With 88.5% Surge This Festive Season, Mumbai Only Second

FLIPKART_0_0_0_0_0_0_0_0_0This festive season has brought great news both for buyers and e-retailers like Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal etc. With their big sale bonanzas in the air, they are making all their efforts to woo customers. So far, they have succeeded affluently in bringing buyers to their respective shopping apps and websites. Buyers are equally seen to decode jaw dropping deals and offers from these e-shopping magnets.

In its latest report, industry body Assocham stated that during this festive season, Delhi has recorded 88.5% rise in online shopping against regular online shopping. The body did a survey in Indian metro cities like Ahmadabad, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata.

IN its report Assocham said that a whopping 82 per cent of Delhites love to buy stuff online. In its list, the body put Mumbai in second position (80.5%) followed by Ahmadabad (78 per cent) and Bangalore (75 per cent). The report continued by saying that in recent big festive season sales, mobile phones were the top item purchased followed by by apparel, computers and tablets, electronics, home-kitchen appliances, accessories and books.
