4 Effective Ways to Promote Your Digital Business

With the rise of the web, starting an online business has never been simpler and, at the same time, more challenging.

There are numerous businesses similar to yours, competing over the same customers and offering similar products and services. So, the only way to rise above them and stay relevant in this hostile online ecosystem is to have a solid business promotion plan.

Effective Ways to Promote Digital Business

Here are some of the most powerful digital marketing strategies you should keep in mind.

1. Publish Content Regularly

With the rise of Google’s algorithms, doing SEO is all about content marketing. Investing in a valuable company blog boosts your visibility and makes you a valuable source of information.

Once people recognize your value, they will start linking to you and sharing your posts. This is great for your SEO, too. Namely, your click-through rates, backlink portfolio, and shares prove your relevance, telling Google to rank you higher.

But, to get the most of your content strategy, you need to keep pace with trends and experiment with different forms of content. Aside from

6 Ways to Boost Your Site’s Visibility

One of the most notorious statistics in the world of digital marketing is the fact that about 95 percent of all Google searches end at page one. Unfortunately, this means that all the hard work you’ve put in your web design, content and responsiveness may be in vain.

How to Boost Site’s Visibility?

How to Boost Site's Visibility?

Imagine it as an equivalent of a great offer that no one ever gets to hear about. So, in order to boost your online presence, you need to find a way to give your site a visibility boost. Here are six efficient techniques that can help you out.

1. Improve responsiveness

The first thing you need to work on is the responsiveness, seeing as how it has a direct impact on an average duration of a visit to your website. According to several surveys, about four seconds of non-responsiveness is enough for one-quarter of all your visitors to leave, however, this is not the end of your ordeal.

Due to the fact that an average user expects a website to load within the first two seconds (ideally even faster), even those who do decide to stay will be visibly frustrated.

This diminishes their overall user experience and lowers the chance that they will ever come back. That being said, by improving responsiveness, you will gain both direct and indirect boost your site’s visibility.

2. Embark on an upward spiral

Google understands that success doesn’t come overnight, however, they put a lot of value into a continuous improvement. In other words, if your website’s metrics are constantly improving, you can expect your SERP changes to follow suit.

Investing a lot of short-term effort in your website’s rank improvement is great, yet, as soon as it starts falling down in quality, you will get penalized. Even worse, as soon as Google recognizes a pattern of inconsistency with your website, it will think twice before trusting you again.

3. Think about link building

Apart from helping you build the authority of your brand, create new relationships and drive steady traffic to your website, link building is one of the most organic ways to boost your Google rank.

Business Benefits of Cloud Orchestration

During the last several years, the usage of clouds has become a common practice for companies across the world. It has proven to be very useful, in terms of reducing costs and time consumption, making data storage easier, and helping businesses run the virtual part of their work in general.

Benefits of Cloud Orchestration

However, with the development of cloud technology, as well as technology as a whole, certain problems with handling clouds have become obvious.

They have become bigger in size and much more complex when it comes to their capacity and infrastructure, making them sometimes quite a challenge to manage, control and supervise.

A very handy solution to these problems that have arisen recently and aren’t going anywhere is a thing called cloud orchestration. Cloud orchestration makes deployment and management of processes and resources much simpler and smoother.

It ensures that the process of maintaining the elements of the cloud runs in a more integrated and harmonized manner. To explain how it works in more detail and why you should consider using it for your business, let’s first take a quick overview of the general advantages that cloud technology offers.

Benefits of using clouds

One of the most important benefits that come with clouds is a significant reduction of IT infrastructure costs, since the infrastructure is provided by a third party, in this case a cloud company.

This service is much cheaper than what would be the traditional capital expenditures required to make your company’s IT sector fully operational. Especially with usage-based billing, where you pay only for the services that you’ve actually used.

6 Ways to Boost Office Morale

Did you know that 51% of U.S. employees aren’t engaged to deliver good work, while 17.5% of them are actively disengaged? Worse yet, the symptoms of low morale aren’t always obvious.

They range from the lack of cooperation and few conversations to rare personal initiatives and the overall poor performance. And, you need to invest a lot of effort to learn how to recognize them effectively.

6 Ways to Improve Your Office Morale

6 Ways to Boost Office Morale

Such a worrisome lack of productivity may cost companies between $450 and $550 billion per year. So, what does this mean for small businesses with restricted budgets? Well, if they don’t find a way to resolve this issue on time, the chances are that they will fail. This is something you cannot afford to happen.

Here are a few tactics that will help you boost your employees’ satisfaction.

Give your Employees a Chance to Perfect their Skills

Let’s face it. No matter how much you love your job, sooner or later it becomes stagnant. Every day resembles the previous one and you start feeling just like a hamster running in circles. So, what do you do in a situation like that? Unsurprisingly, you will quit your job and look for more exciting career opportunities.

The same goes for your employees. Regardless of how much they may respect you or love their coworkers, once they get bored, they will start searching for a more profitable job that will open the door to meeting new people, perfecting their skills, and taking their career to the next level.

For every business owner, losing loyal employees seems like a nightmare. But, don’t despair. There is something you can do to prevent all this on time. Like they say, where there’s will, there’s a way.

For starters, you need to motivate your employees by putting your trust in them and offering them career advancement opportunities. According to a build a strong career, 30% of Millennials say that career advancement opportunities motivate them to work harder and stay with their employer for some time.

Now, for the majority of businesses, career advancement opportunities mean offering a raise or a better job title. But, it doesn’t have to be so. Today’s employees are demanding and they are eager to constantly improve their knowledge and perfect their skills.

This is why you should build a strong career development plan and provide them with a wide range of online or in-house courses relevant to your niche. You could even ask them what kind of mentoring programs and courses they are interested in the most.

Show that you Care

Your employees are the lifeblood of your business. As their boss, you need to be involved in their personal lives and let them feel valued not only as your workers, but also as family members.

After all, you are a huge corporate family. Keep tabs on your employees and celebrate their personal milestones. Throw them a surprise birthday party, send flowers to your employees when they have a child, wish them happy holidays, and so on.

You should also track their behavior and know if something troubles them. For instance, if you notice that an employee is underperforming, you should take them aside for a face-to-face talk and try to figure out what the problem is.

Each of your employees is different and, to understand them, you need to put yourself in their shoes. Let them know that you care about their well-being and that they are much more than just a name on a piece of paper for you. Most importantly, always try to be available to them when the need arises. Remember, it is sometimes little things like that may make a huge difference.

Give out Incentives

For decades, incentives have been one of the most powerful engagement boosters. The studies show that 71% of workers would rather work for an employer who provides rewards than take a job with higher pay.

However, you need to keep in mind that giving out rewards is a pretty complex task. For many business owners, this means giving their employees a bonus whenever they do something exceptional.

How to Start a Digital Marketing Agency?

People who work in the field of digital marketing for a certain amount of time eventually get tempted to start an agency of their own. Unfortunately, just because you’re experienced in digital marketing doesn’t mean that the success will be delivered to you on a platter.

There’s so much hard work to be invested in a digital marketing agency and here are several tips you need to pay close attention to.

How to Start a Digital Marketing Agency?

How to Start a Digital Marketing Agency?

1. Set SMART goals for your company

Every company needs to have clear and definable goals, which is why, unless you are already an experienced entrepreneur, it is a good idea to stick with the SMART system. What this means is that your goals are S – specific, M – measurable, A – aspirational, R – realistic and T – time bound.

Only by looking at the progress of your company through the spectrum of these goals can you see if you’re on the right path. Still, no matter how easy it may sound, setting these goals the right way around is in no way an easy task.

2. Set a proper infrastructure

The second thing you should keep in mind is the fact that you are, after all, running a company. This means that you need things like a business plan, legal structure, appropriate tax scheme and a budget.

Without this, it simply doesn’t matter how good you are in digital marketing. In fact, there is a number of examples of people who are skilled marketers, yet, not that great business people. Needless to say, in order to succeed as a digital marketing agency, the person at the helm needs to be both.

Therefore, once you have all these logistical issues figured out, you need to register a company and start dealing with your infrastructure.

3. Figure out your employee situation

Sometimes, a multitude of choice can be just as tough as not having enough of it, seeing as how it can create a false sense of pressure that you are about to make a bad choice. For instance, when it comes to employees, you need to decide whether you’ll hire full-time or part-time employees, or rely completely on freelancers. When it comes to digital marketing, all three options are equally viable, as are their combinations.

4. Start with your own online presence

Imagine a scenario in which you claim yourself to be a world-class dog trainer, yet, your own pet seems wild, rabid and even completely disobedient. What kind of a message does this send about your expertise? Same goes for your own company’s digital marketing.

Your digital footprint needs to be impeccable, your website needs to be absolutely flawless and your email marketing needs to be on spot. How can you expect others to entrust you with their own brand if you are unable to take care of your own?

5. Narrow down your focus to gain credibility

It’s easy to claim that you are an expert at digital marketing; however, it might be hard to persuade your target demographic that you are capable of providing the exact set of services they are in desperate need of.

In order to get a much easier shot at this, you might want to narrow down your focus. For instance, there are so many legal companies out there, that you could easily just focus on digital marketing for law firms and never run out of work.

Needless to say, an offer that narrowly targets their niche is bound to appear more appealing to your target demographic.

6. Networking is crucial to your success

The next important aspect of your business is, of course, networking. In some other industries, people offering the same line of services would be your direct competitors but in digital marketing, this is often not the case.

You see, the demand for these services is so high that if two agencies are competing for something, it’s more likely prestige or a spot on a specific rank list rather than work. In fact, an overburdened competitor is quite likely to outsource some of their excess work to you or even recommend you, rather than try and sabotage you.

7. Social validation is your No. 1 proof

If there is one thing that every marketer knows, it is that the word-of-mouth recommendation always serves as the most efficient persuasion tool. Still, in the digital environment, you won’t have the commodity of relying on word-of-mouth 100 percent of the time, which is why you need to improvise and adapt.

What this means is looking for the next best thing, which is – social validation. Here, we are talking about all those things that go into your portfolio, starting from testimonials of satisfied customers, case studies that go in your favor and displays of brands that have worked with you in the past.

As we already stated above, in order to run a successful agency, you need to be a businessperson first and an expert second. Think about it, does a CEO of a steel company know more about steel than everyone in their employment?

Sure, this comparison is not 100 percent accurate, seeing as how in the early stages, you will also be an active employee in the company. Nonetheless, in order to make it through, you need to learn how to efficiently run a

I can’t stress enough the importance of finding the right keywords for your blog posts. Juicing up your content with some relevant keywords will definitely boost your traffic. In 2017, writing killer content is simply not enough.

What you should be doing is looking into the most searched for keywords on Google and then shaping your content around those words. Social Media Can Help Your Event Marketing Strategy

5 Ways Social Media Can Help Your Event Marketing Strategy

Since Facebook launched its Events back in 2005, social media became the new goldmine for event marketing. It was the Gold Rush of the time. Nowadays, the mine is already up and running at full capacity, just waiting to be exploited.

Event Marketing with Social Media

So, what are you waiting for? Go grab your pickaxe and let’s get down to business with these five ways social media can help your event marketing strategy:

Social Media Can Help Your Event Marketing Strategy

1. Establish Your Base

Social media is an excellent way of building and expanding your loyal base of followers; the type of people that will most likely come to your events in the future. The bigger the base, the better it is for your event marketing. That’s why it’s essential that you build a solid foundation for your community. However, don’t make the rookie mistake of going overboard with the use of many different social media platforms.

Instead, what you should be doing is sticking to two or three platforms that best resonate with your target audience. After all, you want to create a loyal fanbase and engage with them as much as possible.

Spreading your message on too many social platforms is extremely time-consuming and it may be difficult to establishing a coherent and well-rounded connection with your fans.

Instead, focus on answering all of their questions and keep engaging them as much as possible. Facebook Pages is a good place to start. There, fans can easily check on your many updates and get in touch with you.

2. Befriend the Locals

Another cool way social media can help with your event marketing is by making a video that will grab people’s attention and then sharing it on your social media profiles. Use a video that highlights your previous event and how epic it was, or make a ‘teaser’ video of the event that is yet to come.

This smart event branding strategy will attract a lot of potential attendees, but make sure to use your logo with each video if possible, so the viewers can connect it with your brand more easily.

Another idea would be to use a catchy slogan which would circle around social media platforms for a time, improving your brand recognition. If you want people coming to your event they first need to know who you are. Keep in mind that the quality of the content is what matters here.

With quality content, you are more likely to attract the right kind of people, and lots of them. Otherwise, you could see your content becoming a laughing stock of the social media and thus backfire on you completely.

3. Start the Hype Train

Exploiting the hype created around your event on social media can be a powerful marketing tool. Make your followers do the promoting for you. Spark their interest with mini-competitions they can participate in before the event, and reward them with various giveaways or tickets. Tweet fun quizzes or some interesting trivia to get the ball rolling in the community.

Get them to talk about your event online on their social media profiles; one hashtag with your event name should do the trick. This way, your followers will be like a beacon for their own followers and friends.

By creating a positive vibe, you not only make a lot of people excited and rallied up for your event, but you also gain a lot of commendation for it as well; which will encourage new people to give your event a chance.

4. Get Endorsements

Closely connected to the previous point, getting your loyal followers to share your event with their friends is one thing, but having a social media celebrity sharing it is another. Endorsements from people with well-established fanbases will extend your event marketing to their followers in turn.

Try getting a prominent participant (speaker, performer) of your event to endorse the same in

Website Speed Influences Search Ranking

How Website Speed Influences Search Ranking?

Technological advancements have brought many benefits to people and businesses. However, technology has made people a bit more spoiled as well. This is becoming obvious with the ever-growing expectations that users have each year.

People expect from businesses to deliver everything they need quickly and accurately. One of the biggest expectations that users have is the demand for fast website speed.

Website Speed Influences Search Ranking

How Website Speed Influences Search Ranking?

Back in 2010, Google announced that website speed for desktops and mobile devices will be a determining factor for search rankings, which is no surprise since slow website speed automatically leads to bad user experience. Nowadays, every business has a website and it’s in their best interest to make the customers as happy as possible.

That’s why website speed plays a crucial role in customer satisfaction. If that isn’t enough, trying to neglect website speed will get you noticed by Google and your website will get penalized. Here are a few ways how website speed influences search rankings.

Impatient Customers

When it comes to customer expectations, you must understand that every second counts. About 47% of customers will expect for your web page to load in less than two seconds.

However, that doesn’t mean that customers will immediately leave after two seconds, but the longer they wait, the more unsatisfied they are. Moreover, 79% of customers that aren’t happy with your website speed will probably never make purchases on your website again.

That leads to bad reputation and if customers start reporting your website as slow and sluggish, you can bet that Google will take action to lower your rank. (How Website Speed Influences Search Ranking?)

On the other hand, fast website speed will have a positive outcome on your search rank, since both Google and your customers prefer fast websites. A fast website means that people will view more pages, which improves the chances of having more sales.

Mobile Friendly

Mobile devices are storming the industry and many users nowadays prefer to browse the web from their smartphones or tablets. This new trend forced business owners to redesign their websites to become mobile friendly, which is another factor that Google takes into consideration when determining the website’s rank.

To make things more difficult, mobile users expect website speed to be as fast on mobile devices as it is on desktops and even faster.

That’s why 64% of mobile users expect the website page to load in less than four seconds. When you consider that average time for a

Social Media for Instant Feedback

5 Ways to Use Social Media for Instant Feedback

Most ideas you get usually seem brilliant at first, that is, until you find out that people around you do not share your opinion. Still, the only way for you to find out how they feel about it is for them to tell you, which is why gathering feedback is so important.

How To Use Social Media for Instant Feedback?

Social Media for Instant Feedback

While sometimes it is difficult to say whether this is done more easily in person or online, the latter approach has some – more than obvious – advantages. For example, it shrouds the test participants into the veil of anonymity, which may encourage them to become more honest with you.

When it comes to digital marketing surveys, it is probably best to combine both of them through social media. The way this works is quite simple. It distances one both physically and emotionally from the author of the survey, which makes their answers more objective.

Nonetheless, it also provides the author with some vital demographic information (age, sex, gender, etc.). With this in mind, here are five ways in which you can use social media to get the instant feedback your digital marketing campaign so desperately needs.

1. Finding your target demographics

Every business, no matter how versatile it may seem, has that one target demographic that is for obvious reasons most susceptible to their charms. The greatest advantage of social media lies in the fact that it allows you to easily identify and target these individuals. However, when talking about ‘social media’ one must take into consideration the fact that we are usually talking about several vastly different networks.

For example, in order to find people you are looking for on Facebook, all you need to do is go to the graph search and type in keywords (that will vary depending on your industry).

Networks such as Twitter and LinkedIn have similar search functions, which can definitely make your job a lot easier. In the end, keep in mind that major social networks aren’t the only digital meeting locations you should consider. Local blogs and platform should also be on your radar.

2. Make your survey mobile-friendly

Another thing you should consider are ways in which you can make your surveys mobile-friendly. The reason behind this is quite simple. The majority of internet users these days are browsing on their mobile devices.

When it comes to social media, the numbers seem even more impressive and a staggering 97.3 percent of people are accessing them through smartphones. All in all, in case your survey isn’t smartphone-compatible, most people won’t even bother to try it out, which could kill any kind of feedback-gathering attempt in its infancy.

4. Pay for it

The greatest problem with online surveys is that you won’t be able to know for sure if the person filling it in is completely honest with you. Blocking content with a survey will only make people eager to get past it, which might make them fill the questions in or click on random. Needless to say, this kind of feedback is not just useless, but also potentially dangerous, seeing how it will give you all the wrong ideas.

Because of this, you might want to consider paying for surveys. People who want to learn how to get paid online are bound to be serious with their answers, seeing how it will them profit. Information is power, and sometimes it is worth paying for.

5. Shareable content

Next thing you should think about are ways in which you can make your content easily shareable. By doing so, you are allowing the people you are testing to help you out even past the survey.

After filling it out on their own, they will later share it amongst their friends and thus increase the amount of feedback you’ll be getting. For this, however, you need to make a compelling and easily visible share button.

You see, while they may feel the need to share a particularly

Snapchat Changing The Communication

How is Snapchat changing the way we communicate?

We could say that Snapchat is the most popular app among young people without any fear of being wrong or exaggerating.

With so many young people using it on a daily basis, it really comes as no surprise that this app is shaping the way we communicate and it has no plan to stop doing so in a foreseeable future.

Snapchat Changing The Communication

How is Snapchat Changing The Communication?

Many people have tried to figure out what lies beneath this global success and why people like using soundbites, chats and temporary flashes of content to communicate so much and there are now many theories their creators believe explain this phenomenon.

Regardless of what the most plausible suggestion is, there’s no doubt that the way we communicate is quite likely to be influenced by Snapchat even more in the future.

Let’s have a look at some aspects that have changed as a result of the increasing popularity of this app.

Creating the need to react

With messages and emails people usually have enough time to think twice before replying or taking any action for that matter, but Snapchat messages can be viewed only once. What this means is that people are urged to react promptly, thus creating a real-time form of communication.

Furthermore, emoji have proven to be very popular stimulus for interaction and their range is growing on a daily basis. Finally, the fact that images can be shared means that people who prefer to communicate using such visual aids can take an equally active part in communication.

How Is Snapchat Changing the Music Industry in 2017?

The way artists reach their audience and present their work has evolved greatly with social medial platforms and interactive websites and applications, especially Snapchat. With this amazing app, artists are able to bring a taste of their music directly to their audience even before the album is out, while revolutionizing the way listeners experience music.

Gaining an Audience Through Filters

Adding filters to their recordings allows people to act out or play a 10-second clip of any song, creating their own personal world of music within their group of friends, and while this might not seem to be favorable for the music industry at first sight, in the long run, it brings great benefits such as recognition and audience reach.

snapchat

Filters allow for the musicians to get personal with their fans, establishing a deeper emotional connection. Additionally, artists have discovered the benefits of getting the audience “hyped” for a new release by posting their music on Snapchat before it’s even out, and as a result of the small preview, the audience is ready to buy, stream and download the new music as soon as it becomes live.

The Statistical Benefits of Snapchat

These days, Snapchat has become a media outlet powerful enough to dramatically increase an artist’s popularity. Although it has surfaced rather recently, it has already surpassed Twitter and Tumblr in popularity as well some other media sites, with the percentage of Americans who use Snapchat going from 17% in 2015 to 23% in 2016. In the coming years, these percentages are expected to grow even more, especially with Snapchat being a critical part of the music industry.

Averaging at 2.5 billion snaps every day, Snapchat offers amazing promotional possibilities for artists around the world. The possibilities are endless, and artists can use 10-second videos to promote anything from their new tunes to items like accessories and branded shirts that people can purchase and further promote the artist.

Authenticity and Copyright

Unlike social media platforms, like Facebook or YouTube, where videos can last for an unlimited amount of time and thus present serious legal copyright issues across the board, Snapchat negates these problems due to the core functionality of the app. Rather than saving the content, Snapchat offers a 10-second video that later disappears, avoiding any copyright infringement.

The app has also taken on a similar role to mainstream music media such as MTV and VH1 by premiering and debuting music videos from renowned artists such as Madonna, Goldroom and the Weeknd. And while Snapchat is approaching the MTV popularity status by securing its own exclusives, these giant music media companies have already secured their place on Snapchat’s discover network. Smart move.
