In A Major Setback, Ankit Nagori and Mukesh Bansal Quit Flipkart
It’s almost a fortnight when we reported a top hierarchy change in Flipkart. Now, in a fresh blow to the company, two top brasses of the company are set to leave. Mukesh Bansal who founded Myntra has resigned as head of ecommerce and advertising at Flipkart.
Chief Business Officer Ankit Nagori has also submitted his resignation. Mukesh will remain active with the company until march, Ankit will also stay for three more months. Mukesh was with Flipkart ever since it Acquired online fashion outlet Myntra. Muskesh’s ouster is being seen a big loss to the company and comes at a time when Flipkart is facing slit throat competition from Snapdeal and Amazon.
Henceforth, CEO Flipkart Binny Bansal will now supervise the company’s commerce and advertising business, while Mukesh will continue as an adviser to Flipkart and Myntra. If reports are to be believed, Punit Soni, another top executive from the company may leave Flipkart soon. Punit, an ex-Googler is the brain who pushed in-app versions of Myntra and Flipkart.
