Amazon India Scraps Its Return Policy For Mobile Phones
Leading online retailer Amazon India has changed its return policy effective from today. As per the new policy enforced, buyers in India won’t be able to return mobile phones bought from this retailer. They would be only able to replace their device if the device is effective or was damaged during the transit. The option ‘no longer needed’ will no longer be available to the users.
Citing the new return policy to the users, Amazon said:
According to Amazon India’s new return policy, “All Mobile phones that are fulfilled by Amazon, purchased on or after February 7, 2016, will have a replacement only policy. Mobile phone items that are fulfilled by Amazon will no longer be eligible for refunds. In case you have received a defective or a damaged mobile phone, you will be eligible for a free replacement.”
Buyers will now be allowed to replace the product within 10-days from delivery of the product. Notably, the new policy is applicable to the Smartphones and doesn’t apply to other product range electronics, software, video games, toys and tablets.
