Accelerated Mobile Pages Not A Ranking Signal, Clears Google
This could be disappointing for some webmasters. Google has made it clear that Accelerated Mobile pages don’t serve ranking purpose as of now.
The company had said back in December that AMP may help in having a ranking boost, but as of now webmasters haven’t seen their rankings up. Notably, Google has launched AMP or Accelerated Mobile Pages recently for mobile search results to offer users web pages that load faster.
This is the latest stand that Google takes, but it doesn’t necessarily mean the case in future. If AMP isn’t a ranking single now, it probably may be in times to come.
